Focal Point Construction utilizes exceptional carpentry skills to create unique, quality crafted wood projects such as bars, accent walls, built-ins or individual shelving. We also update trim packages - including base trim, door and window casings.

Many of our projects use hand milled Missouri hardwoods: red and white oak, walnut, cherry, maple, ash, hickory, pine. We also regularly work with paint grade wood products or can source other domestic or exotic wood species for your project.

Bar was redone by refinishing existing cabinets, adding a pour-in-place concrete counter, and under-mounted sink. Overall design includes stained red oak shelves with a wood mosaic backsplash, created in a dimensional pattern with various types of wood and finishes. The shelves are rough sawn and supported by chains hung from the soffit.

We created a cigar room in this gentleman’s basement. It includes a custom, live-edge oak slab bar top, custom live edge backsplash, a dry stack stone wall, and live-edge shelves with soffit-mounted chain supports.

Shiplap can be used on the entire wall or to accent certain areas.

Trim carpentry work includes base trim, window or door casing and crown molding. We can repair existing or install new trim. We do our own painting and staining to match your needs.
